5 stars！I love Mia Sheridan's romances and I lover her thrillers so it's no surprise that I loved Bad Mother。 It is the perfect combination of romance， mystery， and suspense and gives us an unputdownable psychological thriller。Sienna Walker grew up and fell in love in Reno， Nevada but left when her heart was broken。 She went on to become a successful detective and loves working with the NYPD。 However， when her job is threatened， she is reassigned to the one place she vowed to never return。 She 5 stars！I love Mia Sheridan's romances and I lover her thrillers so it's no surprise that I loved Bad Mother。 It is the perfect combination of romance， mystery， and suspense and gives us an unputdownable psychological thriller。Sienna Walker grew up and fell in love in Reno， Nevada but left when her heart was broken。 She went on to become a successful detective and loves working with the NYPD。 However， when her job is threatened， she is reassigned to the one place she vowed to never return。 She takes a case that proves bigger than she expected and Sienna must work with the one man she never wanted to see again if she is going to solve the case。I loved the way the story unfolds。 Romance-wise we have a wonderful second chance romance and thriller-wise we have a murder mystery with clues that don’t quite add up。 The romance is great。 I felt the pain from the past and love the healing in the present。 Sienna and Gavin never quite got over their first love and I felt that their connection which was still very much alive when they meet again。 It's a slow burn romance that grows the more time they spend together， and add in the case and their feelings heighten as they must once again trust each other。 It's beautiful when they allow themselves a second chance。The mystery/thriller part of the story is so well written and dominates the story in the best way。 It’s the case that brings Sienna and Gavin back together and one that is twisted and keeps you on the edge of your seat as you try to discover just what the killer wants us to know and why Sienna is specifically pulled into it。 It’s clever and entertaining and unputdownable。 I was sucked in from the moment it started and the case and murderer got under my skin and creeped me out。 I felt Sienna and Gavin's fear but also their determination and I wanted to keep them safe 。 I was left guessing until the end when everything comes to light。 I loved the way things were connected and how the past， present， and future are all so important。Overall， it is fast paced and entertaining。 The ending is a shocker but once you know who the killer is， all the clues come together and I loved it。*ARC generously provided by the author* 。。。more

I really enjoyed this book， but I’d definitely say it’s more of a psychological thriller than a romantic thriller。 I even almost wish the romance just wasn’t in it at all， because for me， there wasn’t enough of it there to really get me invested in Sienna & Gavin and honestly this book just didn’t really need romance。 The thriller aspect alone was so freaking good and I really loved the cat & mouse vibes with all of the twists and turns。Bad Mother is Clue meets Bates Motel meets To Hunt a Killer I really enjoyed this book， but I’d definitely say it’s more of a psychological thriller than a romantic thriller。 I even almost wish the romance just wasn’t in it at all， because for me， there wasn’t enough of it there to really get me invested in Sienna & Gavin and honestly this book just didn’t really need romance。 The thriller aspect alone was so freaking good and I really loved the cat & mouse vibes with all of the twists and turns。Bad Mother is Clue meets Bates Motel meets To Hunt a Killer and even though the romance was a bit lackluster， if you’re a fan of thrillers or even just a fan of Mia’s writing in general， I’d absolutely still recommend checking this one out！ Thank you sm to netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an arc in exchange for an honest review！ <3 。。。more

Mia Sheridan， you are completely diabolical in the very best of ways。 Like a magician who pulls strings out of thin air， you wove a story that had me on the edge of my seat， making notes， trying to solve the puzzles （which I never got right of course）， every other clue a new twist to a story that was altogether twisted， heartbreaking， macabre and absolutely brilliant。

Dang。 This was one suspenseful book！！ The pace was wonderful and the outcome clever， but this is not a romantic suspense book。 It’s totally a psychological thriller with some major chemistry between the leads。 The romance definitely takes the back seat to the serial killer storyline。 I loved how smart Sienna and her partner Kat are， and add Sienna’s childhood love to the mix， and they really figure out a lot of very obscure clues。 I loved the cat and mouse game that the killer played with them。 Dang。 This was one suspenseful book！！ The pace was wonderful and the outcome clever， but this is not a romantic suspense book。 It’s totally a psychological thriller with some major chemistry between the leads。 The romance definitely takes the back seat to the serial killer storyline。 I loved how smart Sienna and her partner Kat are， and add Sienna’s childhood love to the mix， and they really figure out a lot of very obscure clues。 I loved the cat and mouse game that the killer played with them。 And the stories he told were sad enough that you felt a little sorry for him。 When it all wrapped up， it was such an amazing full-circle story。Man， I don’t read a lot of suspenseful books， but this one is amazing。 Totally recommend。 。。。more
